Celebrity Homes Affected by California Wildfires

The world watched with bated breath as an out-of-control wildfire ravaged the California countryside yet again. What makes it even more out of the ordinary is the fact that this time around, it predominantly affected the very affluent area of Malibu and its surroundings. Thousands of people have been left homeless as their homes were razed to the ground. We can only pray that these folks had home insurance to cover their losses. Even celebrities have not been spared by the devastation as the area is the preferred hub for stars. Fortunately for them, however, they have the net worth and the capacity to pay for the hefty homeowner’s insurance quotes that go with their multimillion-dollar homes. Still, it seems that no matter how much money you have in your bank account and how many homes you can easily afford, seeing your beloved dream house literally go up in flames is still much cause for grief. Here are the stars who have lost their homes in the fire and will likely be contacting property management companies very soon, if they haven’t already.

Simon Cowell – Malibu

Simon Cowell is one of the entertainment industry’s most powerful movers and shakers. Not only that, he has a massive net worth to boot, currently pegged at a whopping $550 million. But even he was not spared the effects of the devastating wildfire. Just last year, he purchased a $23-million luxury home in Malibu which was right on the path of the Woolsey fire. Not only that, the 7-bedroom home had been used for a location shoot for his show, The X Factor, mere weeks ago.
