Yesteryear Celebrities Who are Still Alive and Kickin’
Would you believe that some famous celebrities who you thought had passed away or had retired are still very much alive and working? The first movie to be evert shot in Hollywood was the silent movie In Old California, all the waybu back in 1910! The movie-making industry only thrived after that and over the years we have had some amazing actors.
What is amazing is that some of these living legends, even at their advanced age, are still very much strong, energetic, and beautiful as ever, many choosing to age gracefully and naturally. Are you ready for a blast from the past? Here are what your favorite yesteryear stars are up to these days…
Kate Jackson, 74 Years Old
The original Charlie’s Angels TV show in the 1970s introduced us to many pretty faces, and one of them was actress Kate Jackson’s, as Sabrina Duncan. After she left the show, she starred on TV’s Scarecrow and Mrs. King and became so popular that she was offered actress Meryl Steep’s award-winning role in the film Kramer vs. Kramer, which she turned down.
After Scarecrow and Mrs. King was cancelled, she had to settle for guest appearances in TV shows like Sabrina, The Teenage Witch and Ally McBeal. A major reason why she could not take up more work was her ill health, as she was diagnosed with breast cancer and a hole in her heart, but she recovered from both these issues. Even through all these health problems, she has been able to keep glowing, fit and healthy at 71.
Ali MacGraw, 80 Years Old
Ali MacGraw has made a lot of films, but one movie she will forever be associated with is 1970s’ Love Story, where she starred opposite Ryan O’Neal. Love Story is a classic romance film, one of the greats. MacGraw, who was once included in People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People, has learned to embrace her age, and stayed away from cosmetic surgery. She is, what we call now, an actress who’s aging beautifully.
Pauly Shore, 55 Years Old
Actor Pauly Shore’s family is in show business, and he began his career in the industry as a stand-up comedian and MTV VJ. This led him to star in Encino Man, Son-in-law and Bio-Dome. He even bagged his own Fox sitcom in 1997.
However, it was cancelled after just 5 episodes and he never really got much work after that. 3 decades later, Pauley made a comeback with his podcast. He was also seen in the 2020 Netflix comedy Guest House. He left Los Angeles after his mom’s death and lives in Las Vegas.
