Gabe Kaplan, 75 Years Old
Welcome Back, Kotter was a popular show that aired from 1975 until 1979, which showed the adventures of Gabe Kotter, who returns to his high school to try teaching a class full of troublemakers. Even as actor John Travolta played one of those students, Gabe Kaplan played the central character of Mr Kotter, and he also wrote the show. Kaplan went on to star in plenty of movies after the show ended, such as The Grand, but these days he’s found at the poker table, as besides being a standup comic, he is a champion poker player.
