We’ve all heard of his wild antics, and over-the-top behavior on and off the stage, but we can’t deny that Iggy Pop is the ‘Godfather of Punk Rock.’ His on-and-off association with his band the Stooges is what propelled his musical career in the late 60s and 70s.
Iggy’s distinct voice and poetic lyrics may not have always matched his bare-chested look and outrageous behaviour, but it’s what got his noticed and kept him popular. The Rock and Roll Hall of famer has since influenced many bands and artists globally and he’s still making music for his fans.
