Toni Tennille, 78 Years Old
Before Toni Tennille became part of the husband and wife singing duo Captain & Tennille, she had already started out with a solo music career. In fact, she wrote the music to the musical play Mother Earth, which became a local hit before it made its way to Broadway. It was during auditions for this play that she met her future husband and singing partner, Daryl ‘Captain’ Dragon. Before forming their duo, Tennille played the keyboard for the band, The Beach Boys, in 1973. Captain & Tennille’s biggest hit songs is perhaps Love Will Keep Us Together. The couple got married in 1975, but got divorced in 2014 after 39 years of marriage. The ex-couple remained friends, with Tennille being on the Captain’s side while he was sick, until his death on January 2, 2019.
