Jill Gascoine – ADVANCED ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE
English actress Jill Gascoine was a pleasure to watch on screen when she played Inspector Maggie Forbes in the 80s TV show The Gentle Touch and it’s spin-off series, C.A.T.S. Eyes. Besides her on-screen presence, she also turned author in the 90s and has written 3 books. Her second husband was 16-years her junior, actor Alfred Molina, of Frida and Da Vinci Code fame. In 2013, it was announced that Jill was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, and by 2016, Molina said that it had advanced greatly and she needed to be moved to a care home in Los Angeles. In April 2020, at age 83, Jill passed away while she was still living there.
