Joan Rivers – COMPLICATIONS FROM THROAT SURGERY
Jimmy Carson and The Tonight Show were responsible for giving comedienne Joan Rivers her big TV break which led her to host her own show later on, The Joan Rivers Show. Over the years, she stayed relevant by roasting celebrities, and herself on many shows such as Fashion Police. The sharp tongued, quick witted, plastic surgery-loving actress and comic was due to undergo a minor throat surgery in August 2014, but developed serious complications after it and had to be put on life support. She passed away a few days later, aged 81.
