Donna Summer – LUNG CANCER
Donna Summer’s real name was LaDonna Gaines, and she gained prominence as a singer-songwriter in the late 1970s disco era and was quickly named ‘Queen of Disco.’ She tried her hand at psychedelic rock with her band Crow and toured Europe extensively. After her prime days of selling 100 million records across the globe, she kept performing her hits I Feel Love and Hot Stuff but had slowed down. In 2012, she passed away at 63 from lung cancer, even though she had given up smoking many decades before. Medical doctors suspected that it was second hand smoke that caused her cancer.
