Joni Mitchell, 75 Years Old
Joni Mitchell is a Canadian musician and songwriter, who drew inspiration from folk music, pop, rock and even jazz. Although her earlier work mostly revolved around the themes of the environment and social change, she also did indulge in lyrical masterpieces about love, loss and joy. With 9 Grammy Awards and Rolling Stone dubbing her as ‘one of the greatest songwriters ever’, Joni was on an all-time career high from the 70’s to 80’s. Over time, she became critical of the music industry and finally decided to stop touring from 2007 onwards. With her health problems increasing with age, Joni settled into a quieter life away from music.
