Living Legends: Celebrities From the Past Who Are Thriving Today

William Shatner, Born in 1931

In 1952, McGill University graduate William Shatner became a business manager, but also made the wise decision of enrolling in Ottawa’s Canadian National Repertory Theatre. This opened up a whole new world for the award-winning Canadian actor, director, screenwriter, producer, singer, and author. Shatner has now completed a whopping 70 years on TV with one of his most iconic roles being Captain James T. Kirk on screen in the popular Star Trek franchise. Then came The Practise and Boston Legal. With advancing age, his health problems increased and he chooses not to do TV shows and movies, instead concentrating on his charity work, and his passion, that is breeding and showing horses.
