If you recently saw John Lithgow play Winston Churchill in the TV series, The Crown and thought that he was British, then you’ve been fooled. That’s how versatile and talented the man is. The American actor is known for his character portrayals and is also a poet, musician, author and singer. While the younger generation would remember him for his roles in Dexter and The Crown, the older folk would remember him better for his role as Dick Solomon from 3rd Rock from the Sun. Besides his 6 Emmy Awards, 2 Golden Globes, 3 SAGs and numerous nominations – including Grammys and Oscars, he has also received two Tony Awards for his stage roles. Guess it’s true after all, a talented actor can shine in whatever medium he or she is given.
