Living Legends: Celebrities From the Past Who Are Thriving Today

Glynis Johns, Born in 1923

British singer, actress and dancer Glynis Johns belonged to the Golden Age of Hollywood where the stars were expected to do it all! Because her parents were performers and toured the world (her mother was a pianist and her father an actor), Glynis gained a deeper appreciation of art.

Starting out as a child performer, Glynis John made her screen debut in 1938 with South Riding, and a few small roles followed. In the late ‘40s and ‘50s, she rose to stardom with Miranda, The Court Jester and Encore. Her last movie appearance was in 1999 in the movie Superstar, and she has since retired.
