Patti Smith, 74 Years Old
Singer-songwriter and poet Patti Smith became one of New York’s punk rock movement’s prominent figures when she made her big debut in 1975 with her album, horses. Her work was a distinct mix of her poetry fused with the rock genre.
The ‘Because the Night’ singer won the 2010 National Book Award when she penned her memoir titled Just Kids. Patti had a successful solo career, but had also formed a group briefly in the 70s. These days, Patti is still performing and continues to inspire the newer generations of musicians.
