Barbara Parkins – Born in 1942
Hollywood’s finest, Barbara Parkins, hasn’t lost a bit of her luster as she’s gotten older. She made quite an impression in the media when she first appeared on screen. Even though she played a minor role in the cult classic Valley of the Dolls, she remains a household name. Though she is no longer actively contributing, her legacy lives on. Parkins has been acting for decades, and her star quality hasn’t dimmed a bit.
While filming Valley of the Dolls, the actress met photographer Edward Steichen, a friend of the film’s cinematographer, and was so impressed by his work that she decided to make photography her life’s work. Parkins got married in ’70s after moving to France, and in the following decade adopted a baby.
