Mary Ward, 106 Years Old
To say that Australia’s oldest living actress, Mary Ward, has had an incredible life, is an understatement. In her 106 years, Mary has lived through both the world wars and has survived two pandemics! The actress is known for playing the role of ‘Mum’ in the ‘70s Australian drama, Prisoner.
Mary, whose acting career has lasted 6 decades, also starred as Dee in the ‘80’s show Sons and Daughters. With age catching up, Mary has since retired from acting, and has been enjoying her post retirement days. Her family still shares images of her on her birthday, with an extra candle added to her cake!
