John Astin, 90 Years Old
A new animated film The Addams Family came out in 2019, but it definitely cannot be compared to the original TV series. One of the most memorable performances in the 1960s sitcom was that of John Astin who played Gomez Addams. Astin is notable for other screen appearances, such as in the movies West Side Story, Freaky Friday, Move Over Darling, National Lampoon’s European Vacation, and The Frighteners. Many are not aware that aside from acting, Astin is also a television director and voice actor. Already in his 80s, his last TV project had him lending his voice to the animated series Justice League Action.
