Steve’s Greatest Love
After Ali left Steve McQueen and filed for divorce, she never remarried. She has admitted several times how she suffered from dependency on men in the past, which she sought treatment for. She had relationships after separating from Steve but never felt the need to marry again. A few years leaving Steve, the actor was diagnosed with lung cancer. During his dying days, Ali requested to see, but he refused. We will never truly know Steve’s reason for this, but a close of him said recently in an interview that Ali is the actor’s greatest love, and that he never stopped loving her until the day he died in 1980.
