Here’s a trivia for those who doesn’t know – Love Story was made specifically for Ali MacGraw. No, the writer did not have her in mind when the screenplay for the movie was written, but the person who bought the film’s rights to be made did so for Ali. The man we are referring to was Robert Evans, the head of production for Paramount Studios. He has been quoted as saying that he bought Love Story because he “fell in-love with Ali”, who expressed how much she wanted to do the film after reading the script twice. Ali in turn fell for Evans, and they were married in 1969.
