Beloved actress Judy Garland is considered as one of Hollywood’s legendary actresses, with her most iconic role being Dorothy in the classic film Wizard of Oz. And where else could an icon like Garland live but in a building that’s as historic as her – the Dakota High-Rise in New York City. The building is considered as one of the most famous ones in the city, and it’s even recorded on the National Register of Historic Places. Some of the most notable people who lived there were Lauren Bacall and John Lennon. Garland’s apartment embodies the opulence of the 19th century. It has been since renovated by designer Sasha Bikoff, and Garland’s room is just one of the nine rooms that the home has.
