Melissa Gilbert and Sara Gilbert: Half-Sisters
Even though the two actresses have the same last name, people were still surprised to find out that Melissa Gilbert and Sara Gilbert are half sisters. Melissa has been in the acting industry since she was a little girl, with her most famous role as Laura Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie. Sara, on the other hand, is best known for her TV roles in the Big Bang Theory and Roseanne. Technically, though, Sara is really not a ‘Gilbert’, because she was born Sara Rebecca Abeles. She and Melissa have the same mother, and when Sara entered the acting biz, she adopted the same surname that her other siblings have (her other half brother Jonathan is also an actor).
