Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise – Divorced, Married for 11 Years
Before Brangelina happened, Hollywood’s acting power couple were Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. They had chemistry both on-screen and off, so people were surprised when their divorce was announced, one of those surprised being Nicole Kidman herself. Apparently Cruise did not inform his then wife of his plans. Kidman said in interviews later that she begged the actor that they undergo marriage counseling (which he refused!), and also mentioned she had a miscarriage because of the stress of the divorce. Is it bad to say ‘karma’, when we think about how actress Katie Holmes blindsided Cruise when she decided to leave him many years after the Cruise – Kidman divorce drama?
