Jackie Kennedy Onassis: ~ $43 Million, McLean, Virginia
When Jackie Kennedy Onassis was still Jacqueline Bouvier, and years before she moved in to the White House, she spent her childhood days in a nine-bedroom Georgian-style mansion in McLean, Virginia, called Merrywood Estate. Now it has been reported that it’s owner, AOL co-founder Steve Case, who bought it for $24.5 million in 2005, has sold it for a whopping amount of $43 million, even though the asking price was $49.5 million. The buyer and current owner is the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
