Robert Duvall: ~ $3.7 Million, Virginia
This Virginia horse farm is home to Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall. Known for his Academy Award-winning performance in Tender Mercies and nominations for The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, Duvall purchased the 28-acre estate, Butcher’s Run, in the 1980s. He later named his 1992-founded production company Butcher’s Run Films.
Located just outside the historic village of Philomont, about eight miles from Middleburg in Virginia’s hunt country, the three-story Georgian fieldstone farmhouse was built around 1820. It was featured in Audrey Windsor Bergner’s 2001 book, Old Plantations and Historic Homes Around Middleburg, Virginia. The 5,500-square-foot house includes five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, wide plank heart pine floors, and a slate roof.
