Dex Lauper – Pursuing Music
Cyndi Lauper shot into prominence during the 80s, with her hit songs, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Time After Time, and True Colors. Her career spans four decades and she even became a Tony Award winner in 2013 for composing the music for the Broadway musical Kinky Boots. Lauper met actor David Thornton on the set of the movie Off and Running and they got married in 1991. Being happily married for 28 years now, the couple has a son, Declyn Wallace Thornton, who is following in his mother’s footsteps. He is now a rapper who goes by the name Dex Lauper and he released his first single, Wavy, in 2016.
