How many people do you now who can claim to have grown up in a castle? Well the former First Lady of France, can. Ms. Bruni grew up in Turin’s famous Castle Po which is a 19th Century castle. The estate sits on 21,500 square feet of space with its expansive orchards, greenhouses, vegetable gardens, flowered terraces, a farmhouse, and a caretaker’s cottage. An English-style nature preserve and park surrounds the property. The interiors, now bare, have Gothic touches to it and feature hand painted art work and sculptures.The castle has since been sold off.
