Park Slope once used to be home to celebrity couples Maggie Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) and her husband Peter Sarsgaard (An Education), who moved here before their kids were born so that they could walk them to school. Now, Maggie has decided to sell her four-story townhouse and will settle for $4.599 million for it. Dating back to the 1880s, the 4 bedroom home was revamped by celebrated architect Elizabeth Roberts. While Maggie and the kids may have used the fireplaces and the projector screen quite often, Peter loved the beautiful 55-foot-deep backyard, which came with an outdoor bathtub and plants. It’s all the green inspiration that the new owners needed to start gardening.
