Enya: ~ $4.8 million, Dublin, Ireland
Enya Patricia Brennan, professionally known as Irish musician Enya, certainly makes unique music. Not just with her voice, but with the instruments used in her songs as well. The singer is known for music that mixes the sounds of Celtic, church, classical, folk music, and new age. Some of her famous albums include Shepherd Moons, The Memory of Trees, and A Day Without Rain. We must say that Enya’s choice for a home suits the type of music she makes, and technically speaking, the singer does not have a house, she has a castle that sits on 3.5 acres of land in Ireland. Enya’s home was originally called Victoria Castle, since the original owner, Judge Robert Warren, built it to commemorate the crowning of Britain’s Queen Victoria in 1840. It was passed on to Sir Thomas Power who renamed it Ayesha Castle, after the goddess from the novel ‘She’ by Rider Haggard. When Enya bought the caste in 1997, she renamed it to its present name, which is Manderley Castle, because of her profound interest in Daphne du Maurier’s novel Rebecca.
