Freddie Mercury – Died November 24, 1991
Of course, everybody knows who Freddie Mercury is. As the flamboyant front man of Queen, he was—and remains—a true rock and roll legend. Even younger generations know of him and his life, thanks to the recent biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, which was based on his life. Today, everyone knows that he had acquired HIV sometime in the 80’s and died of AIDS-related bronchopneumonia in 1991. Although it was widely speculated that he had the disease back then, he didn’t actually publicly confirm it until the day before he died. This was the last known photo of him taken in 1991 together with one of his beloved cats.
