OLD STARS YOU THOUGHT ARE LONG GONE
BUT THEY ARE NOT EVEN PLANNING THEIR RETIREMENT
Dusty Anderson, 101 Years Old

Ruth Edwin Anderson, better known as ‘Dusty’ Anderson was a famous pin up girl for the soldiers fighting in World War II, as she was featured in the 1944 issue of YANK magazine, which used to be published by the United States Military. Of course, to be featured in the magazine, she had to be famous and she happened to have earned her fame by being in the movie business. She started her career by acting as one of the ‘cover girls’ in the Rita Hayworth movie Cover Girl. She had also acted in movies such as Crime Doctor’s Warning and The Phantom Thief. She retired from the limelight shortly after she married her second husband, Hollywood director Jean Negulesco and chose not to have a public life after that.
