Former President George W. Bush’s private retreat is unsurprisingly located in his native Texas. Named after a nearby school, the property is known locally as Prairie Chapel Ranch. It sits on more than 1,600 acres with a 4,000-square-foot main house. It is a very environmentally friendly estate, complete with rainwater collection systems and a geothermal heating and cooling system, although solar panels would greatly help too. He initially bought it for $1.3 million in 1999, but the value has since gone up by leaps and bounds.
