Pastry chef Claire Ptak of Violet Cakes, a London based bakery, did not fail to impress the couple and their wedding guests with the wedding cake she made. The flavor the couple chose was lemon elderflower cake, and it’s amazing that the elderflower syrup used for it was made at Sandringham estate, the Queen’s residence, since the main ingredient was taken from the estate’s elderflower trees. A total of 200 lemons was said to have been used, shipped all the way from the Amalfi coast.
