For many months the public’s attention was on Meghan Markle’s engagement ring, and then they were excited about opulent the wedding ring would be. Harry is expected to not wear a wedding band just like other men in the family, Prince Philip and Prince William. Here’s a little trivia – did you know that the Queen Mother started the wedding band tradition in 1923? According to beliefs, the nugget of gold from which Meghan’s ring was crafted is the same source of the wedding rings of Queen Elizabeth, her sister Princess Margaret, her daughter Princess Anne, and her daughter-in-law Princess Diana. Meghan’s wedding ring however, was a simple platinum ring.
