As one-half of the famous mom-daughter musical duo named The Judds, singer-songwriter Naomi Judd was at the top of her game at the age of 44, when she shocked everyone by announcing that she would be retiring in 1990. She later revealed that she was suffering from Hep C, and hence, needed to quit, and that her daughter Wynonna would continue to sing and perform solo. The ‘Love Can Build a Bridge’ singer then started her own charity and foundation to educate people about Hepatitis C. In 1999, her made-for-TV movie A Holiday Romance and stage performance marked her come back and the retirement was simply called off! Judd still continues to have a full schedule with her many appearances as she is a speaker, author and TV personality.
