Ivana Baquero – TV starlet
Guillermo del Toro is a brilliant director and one of his masterpieces is Pan’s Labyrinth. A very key character which the movie was based on was that of the young girl Ofelia, portrayed by Spanish child actress Ivana Baquero. Due to all that critical acclaim she got, she had the opportunity to star opposite some very famous Hollywood stars such as with Calista Flockhart in Fragile and with Kevin Costner in The New Daughter. From bit roles in Spanish movies and TV serials to her own primetime show, Ivana had finally arrived. She was last cast as Eretria in MTV’s TV adaptation of the Shannara novels called The Shannara Chronicles. The show ended in 2017.
