Cheech Marin, Born in 1946
Richard Anthony Marín is best known us as ‘Cheech’ from the comedic duo Cheech and Chong. He was very proud of his Mexican heritage and throughout his long career, his trademark remained his strong Chicano accent. Having started out as a stand-up comedian, it wasn’t long before he was on TV with the show Nash Bridges, and he took up many voice projects in many animated movies such as Cars, The Lion King, Coco, and Beverly Hills Chihuahua among many others. Apart from acting, Cheech is also a collector of Chicano art.
