Giovanni Trapattoni, Born in 1939
Giovanni Trapattoni is an Italian footballer turned football manager who has reached legendary status as a club coach. Nicknamed ‘Trap,’ most of his playing career was spent plying for AC Milan FC and has played for the Italian national team.
After retiring from the sport in 1972, he has coached various clubs such as Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart. He is only one of two coaches who has won all 3 major European championships – the European Cup, UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup and UEFA Cup.
