Eddy Mitchell, Born in 1942

French singer and actor Eddy Mitchell was born Claude Moine and he began his career in the late 1950s. He eventually changed his name to his Eddie, after being influenced by American actor Eddie Constantine. He was also influenced a lot by American Rock and Roll.

Eddy was a part of the 60s French band Les Chaissettes Noires. He would also soon become a lover of Hollywood movies and hosted the TV show La Dernière Séance about American cinema. You can see him on The Last Picture Show, and more recently on A Small Miracle.
