OLD STARS YOU THOUGHT ARE LONG GONE
BUT THEY ARE NOT EVEN PLANNING THEIR RETIREMENT

Buck Taylor, Born in 1938

Fans of Western TV shows from the 50s and 60s should be familiar with actor Buck Taylor, because he once starred in Gunsmoke as Deputy Newly O’Brien. Besides acting, he is also a skilled painter, and when he retired, he painted many posters of Texas Rodeos. He even made a portrait of his Gunsmoke co-star, the great James Arness. Taylor makes a comfortable living out of his art — he even features his works in art galleries, private art shows, and he has his own website. Two famous people who own his works are actors Sam Elliot and Val Kilmer.
