Eight Misdemeanor Offenses! That’s What Heather Locklear Pleaded Guilty to
Heather Locklear has managed to avoid jail time right after her 2018 arrests. Recently the Melrose Place star claimed no contest to 8 misdemeanor offenses and has been ordered to 30 days in a residential mental health facility. The star was ordered to serve 120 days in jail, but the sentence remained pending until she completed the court mandated mental treatment program. She must now enroll in a rehab treatment program soon. Locklear will also be placed on informal 3-year probation; under her stiff sentence terms, she cannot possess deadly or dangerous weapons, consume alcohol, or non-prescription medications.

In late February 2018, Locklear was arrested under the suspicion of domestic battery, felony, and 3 battery charges on a serving police officer. The Police later conducted a search of her residence for any firearms that were registered under her name. A Ventura County Sheriff’s Department official confirmed that Locklear’s alleged threats made against deputies prompted the search to discover and retrieve the firearm, which the detectives could not find. After she was accused of striking her partner, Locklear was then charged with a count of domestic abuse, but that charge was dropped in March of 2019.
Suicide Threats, Arrests and Rehab: Heather Locklear’s Darkest Days

In April, Locklear’s attorneys, appeared in court to plead not guilty for all 5 charges: 4 counts of misdemeanor-battery of a police officer and for obstructing or resisting an officer. Each of the five counts carries a maximum sentence of one year, as per the Ventura County district attorney. Months later, Heather was arrested in June of 2018 after she is said to have attacked a police officer and an EMT who first responded to the disturbance call made from her residence. Police said that she was extremely inebriated and argued with family and friends when they arrived. Mere hours after release from the police’s custody, the actress was hospitalized when she was suspected to be suffering from an overdose.

Responders were sent to Locklear’s home just a week prior, after the sheriff’s office received a call saying that a “suicidal” person was being “violent,” as mentioned in the Ventura County Fire Department’s incident report. Locklear was shifted to a hospital for a psychological evaluation and later charged with multiple counts of battery on police/EMT and resisting, obstructing or delaying a police officer.
20 Rehab Visits and Support Systems

Her perennial issue was with pills, alcohol and her deteriorating mental health, being largely unemployed, and not wanting to be held accountable for her troubles. All this has been tearing her family apart. It had been an on-going issue for many years and it was especially horrible for Ava, her 21 year old daughter. Sambora, who was married to Locklear from 1994 to 2007 is not getting involved anymore, although he has supported her and Ava greatly. In mid-May, Locklear returned to rehab and was living in an in-patient facility. She was back in rehab for two weeks. She had left for three days right before Christmas and never returned. After a month of this incident, Locklear was seen around Los Angeles, where she seemed to be in good spirits as she met up with a friend for lunch. It is not clear when Locklear got out of rehab.
