Rachel Maddow: ~ $1.25 Million, West Village, NYC
Rachel Maddow, best known for being an MSNBC host, along with partner, Susan Mikula, have bought themselves a huge apartment in Manhattan’s West Village, which can easily squeeze in a few vans, at the very least. The previous seller, who is another famous celebrity, is the frontman from R.E.M, Micheal Stripe. He had listed his pad in the pre-war building, which was previously a paper warehouse, for $1.325 million, but it was eventually sold to Rachel for $75,000 less. The 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom flat is said to be very bright, airy and sunny and also offers great views of the Hudson River below. There’s also central air-conditioning for those hot days and a wood burning fireplace for when it gets chilly.
