CELEBRITY HOMES: AN INSIDE & OUTSIDE LOOK
Stephen King: Unknown Value, Bangor, Maine
Stephen King, the famed writer of horror, sci-fi and supernatural books (which have been turned into movies), loves his hometown of Bangor, Maine so much that he based three of his famous books, It, Pet Sematary and Dreamcatcher in a fictional version of his town, called Derry. His home has turned into a tourist spot for his fans, who may not be allowed inside, but can click pictures of it from outside. King seems to have a sense of humor too, since his home’s gate has cobweb designs and gargoyles on them, to keep up the spooky vibe. The author also once placed a single red balloon at his window for all to see, and it must have spooked a lot of people since the balloon is how Pennywise the clown lures kids in the horror book and movie ‘It.’
