Nehemiah Persoff – 1919 to 2022
There was always an air of menace whenever actor Nehemiah Persoff was on the screen portraying a negative character, usually a sinister prohibition-era gangsters. He was a character actor who was known for his gravelly voice in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, having starred in Gunsmoke, The Twilight Zone, Hawaii Five-O, Law & Order and more. After the 80s, we hardly saw Nehemiah on screen and he sadly passed away in 2022 at the ripe old age of 102. He leaves behind a rich Hollywood legacy.
