These Famous British & Australian Stars are Still Alive and Kickin’

Marty Wilde, Born in 1939

British singer-songwriter Marty Wilde paved the way for later English pop stars, after bringing American rock and roll style to the UK. Back in the ‘50s, his hit singles included ‘Sea of Love,’ ‘Endless Sleep,’ and ‘Bad Boy.’

In the 1960s and 1970s, Marty continued to record music, but his popularity was waning. His son, Ricky Wilde would carry on his legacy, but Marty continues to make music and perform in nostalgia tours even today, like many of his contemporaries.
