Chris Cornell was one of the most lauded and respected contemporary lead singers in rock music sphere. He was well known along with his bands Soundgarden and Audioslave. Unfortunately, he had been battling depression for a long time as well. He was reported to have hanged himself on May 17, 2017, in a Detroit hotel room, a little after giving a concert. He was 52 years old.
