George Romero – LUNG CANCER
George Romero died in July 2017, at the age of 77. He was a Canadian-American filmmaker whose classic “Night of the Living Dead” and other horror films turned zombie movies into social commentaries. Though his zombie films were his most famous works, he was influential in the whole horror genre and Romero was also good friends with another horror master, Italian filmmaker Dario Argento. He was said to have been suffering from lung cancer and died in the company of his daughter and his third wife.
