Glen Campbell was the groundbreaking country singer and guitarist. He was known for hits like By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Wichita Lineman and Rhinestone Cowboy. He died at the age of 81 in August 2017. He was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. He had a past of alcohol and drug abuse but in the end, it was the degenerative disease that killed him. His passing was mourned not only by his family, but by the music community in general, with tributes paid by musicians such as Lenny Kravitz and Dolly Parton.
