Kobe Bryant – Sikorsky S-76, ~ $13 Million
Unlike other celebrities who own private helicopters, Kobe Bryant did not pilot the one he owns. Also, he did not buy his helicopter to add to the luxurious and expensive things he owns, but rather to spend more time for his family. After missing one of his daughters’ school plays because of traffic, the NBA legend bought a Sikorsky S-76 (with registration N72EX). The specific model, the S-76B variant, reportedly costs around $13 million. Bryant’s private helicopter cut down his travel time, and allowed him to spend more time with his wife and 4 daughters. Sadly, the thing that allowed the basketball legend to have more time with his family also responsible for cutting short his life, as the helicopter crashed while Bryant was onboard alongside his daughter, Gianna and others onboard.
