Charles Bronson – Passed Away At Age 81

To say that the early years of actor Charles Bronson’s life were tough, is really an understatement. He had to start working in the coal mines at the age of 10 as his father passed away and he had to support his family which consisted of his mother and 14 siblings. He later left to enlist in the United States Army Airforces and was even wounded during World War II. For his heroism and service, he was awarded the Purple Heart. After retiring from active duty, he got involved in a theatrical group and discovered his love for acting. Starting with uncredited roles and small acting parts, Bronson started getting meatier roles, usually playing rough and tough characters in movies like Kid Gallahad and The Dirty Dozen.
