Mount Rushmore without the Presidents’ Faces
In case you were wondering what Mount Rushmore looked like before the faces of 4 US presidents were carved into it, you can see in this photo of this blank mountain how it originally appeared. Doesn’t it look kind of weird without the faces of Washington, Roosevelt, Jefferson, and Lincoln on it? Originally it was supposed to include the 4 presidents upper body but the project ran out of money and getting a loan was not an option, so they just settled for carving just their heads.
