Jane Birkin: Left Bank, Paris, Unknown Value
English actress, model, and singer-songwriter Jane Birkin will forever be known as the lady for whom the famous Hermès Birkin was created and it even carries her name. Jane, who we know from movies such as Death on the Nile, and for lending her voice to the controversial song Je t’aime moi non plus, has been living in Paris, France.
She is there since the ’60s and now lives in the Left Bank locality in a small apartment in a Parisian villa. The eclectically decorated house is well-lived in and it’s papered walls carry many photographs of Jane with her children, of movie sets, and her life. We wonder where she finds the space to display her prestigious awards such as her British OBE and her French National Order of Merit.
